The media server company’s largest US installation, 100+ projectors for 3,400 sq metres of walls and floor, and 32 screens for NFTs, are highlights at a new museum.
The new Museum of Art + Light (MoA+L), in Kansas, has teamed up with technology solutions provider Diversified to redefine how visitors engage with art.
Central to the museum, which opens on 8 November, is an immersive space that covers a quarter of the total footprint. The space will feature more than 100 Epson projectors that will map about 3,400 sq metres of the walls and floor with up to 188 million pixels.
It will also be home to the largest deployment of Modulo Pi media servers in the US and Meyer’s immersive audio technology.
The space’s opening exhibition, Renoir: A Luminous Evolution, immerses visitors in the life and works of French impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir.

The collaboration between Diversified and the MoA+L extends to the De Coded Digital Gallery, where 32 Videri screens showcase NFT artwork. An outdoor projection system also enhances the ambience during events.
Additionally, Diversified has designed and integrated a robust Cisco Meraki network to support the museum’s experiences and office operations.
Travis Heitchew, enterprise programme manager at Diversified, said: “As soon as visitors enter the immersive wing, they’ll be surrounded by stunning 34-foot projections and incredible sound.
‘Emotional impact’
“It’s not just what you see – it’s what you feel. The scale and immersion create an emotional impact that pulls people in. This is what will make the museum truly unforgettable.”
Sydney Bouhaniche, the MoA+L’s creative director, said: “Our founders wanted to bring the world to our community in ways they’ve never seen before. Together with Diversified, we’ve created something that not only tells stories, but invites visitors to become part of them.”

The museum’s executive director, Erin Dragotto, said: “The level of collaboration with Diversified has been invaluable. Their past work on iconic projects like the Empire State Building made them a clear choice, but it’s their dedication, speed and precision that have made this partnership a success.
“Together, we’ve been able to make art more interactive and engaging for all generations – and we’re just getting started.”
