The ceremony included several elected officials, the museum’s founders, and the Kansas Masonic Foundation’s building dedication.

The 100,000-square-foot facility features four exhibition galleries, classrooms, a maker space, a museum store, a coffee house, and more.

The Museum of Art and Light brings together digital and fine art in an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience.

Executive Director Erin Dragotto spoke with 13 News after the opening ceremony.

“It‘s unbelievable,” Dragotto said. “Unbelievable. We are elated. This has, it‘s been a long time coming, and like, I couldn‘t be more happy. I don‘t know what more words to use, but we’re very excited.”

“We‘re so unique to everything,” Dragotto added. “So even if you went to a major metro nearby, you still wouldn’t find what we have here inside our building.”

The Museum of Art and Light is open from 10 AM – 5 PM on Monday and Wednesday-Saturday. The Museum opens at noon on Sunday and is closed on Tuesday.
